Hi! Welcome to my webpage!
I’m Gisela. I have been teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language for about 20 years and still enjoying it!! I deeply believe that teaching it’s not only about learning a language, but understanding a culture. Helping students from all over the world to learn Spanish properly, efficiently in a fun and interactive way has always been my motto.
I have been to…
After studying Journalism and Social Communication, and working in the field of communication for 4 years, I started thinking about how to create a good match between Communication and Language and how to put everything together. I started teaching as a profession working in Spanish schools; gaining afterwards my qualification to teach Spanish as a Second Language from International House, which enabled me to teach Spanish as a Foreign Language worldwide; and since then I have never stopped attending seminars and workshops, exploring different types of teaching methods and use of materials. In 2008 I had the honor of being mentioned as a recommended Spanish Teacher in Lonely Planet Buenos Aires and Argentina guides in 2005 and Footprint guide in 2008, helped me to continue working on my way adding more value to her experience and continue offering more and more interesting Spanish learning experiences to everyone who visit Buenos Aires and is willing to learn both about the language and the argentinean culture.
I decided to continue learning and I became a proofreader in Spanish. I’ve completed my Teaching Training Program in 2019 to be able to work at secondary schools and I’m currently studying my postgraduate course in Education and New Technologies. The world has changed and more and more online Spanish teaching classes are required. These times in which we live now make us more flexible and make teaching a new endeavor. At the same time, it creates an opportunity to teach with a variety of apps, providing interactive content and resources that make classes more effective, fun and enjoyable.
Last but not least, I believe teaching is more than just a job, it’s the opportunity to interact with people from around the world which is a truly rewarding experience! Having the chance to learn Spanish in such an amazing context like Buenos Aires, a city full of life, is a must! Come and join me!
