Methodology
We are all individuals and, as such, all learn in different ways. As a result, Gisela firmly believes that, as a teacher, you need to be creative in order to reach the student's goal.
Initially she offers a free interview with a Spanish level test to all students; and at the same time they are asked about their expectations and desires to learn Spanish. The level test can be sent by email if you are not in the country and would like to save time prior to arrival, (it will be soon available on this site.) With this information she will be able to devise a personal programme based on all of these needs, taking into account the anticipated period of study and any pre-existing knowledge of the spanish language. The plan will be amended and refined throughout the course of study as particular problem areas come to light. Her strength is that she always pays attention to how students express their difficulties; and by tuning into these issues, she comes up with an effective language approach to overcome them.
Gisela focuses on using the spanish language in a real and practical context. Her Spanish classes typically involve a combination of conversation, listening and writing exercises. However, if a student has a preference to a particular methodology, she is happy to accommodate it.
